Allen-Bradley is the brand-name of Industrial Automation & Control System products today owned by Rockwell Automation. The company manufactures programmable logic controllers (PLC), human-machine interfaces, sensors, safety components and systems, software, drives and drive systems, contactors, motor control centers, and systems of such products. Some of the Allen Bradley brand we have been selling at IndAXonline ; PLC-5 System, SLC 500, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PanelView HMIs, FTView Scada Software, PowerFlex-4 & PowerFlex-4 VFDs etc.
A PLC-5 control system, at minimum, consists of a programmable controller and I/O modules in a single 1771 chassis with a power supply. You choose the controller with the on-board communication ports you need. On-board remote I/O scanner ports are available on all PLC-5 controllers. On-board extended-local I/O scanner ports are available on some PLC-5 controllers. On-board ControlNet ports are available on some PLC-5 controllers. To provide a DeviceNet I/O scanner port to the system, you must add a 1771-SDN DeviceNet Scanner Module.
SLC 500 is a small chassis-based family of programmable controllers, discrete, analog, and specialty I/O, and peripheral devices. The SLC 500 family delivers power and flexibility with a wide range of communication configurations, features, and memory options. The RSLogix 500 ladder logic programming package provides flexible editors, point-and-click I/O configuration. With up to 64 K of configurable data/program memory available and over 60 types of I/O modules, as well as a choice of networking options, the SLC system provides a powerful solution for stand-alone or distributed industrial control.
The ControlLogix system provides discrete, drives, motion, process, and safety control together with communication and state-of-the-art I/O in a small, cost-competitive package. The system is modular, so you can design, build, and modify it efficiently with significant savings in training and engineering. The ControlLogix architecture provides a wide range of input and output modules to span many applications, from highspeed digital to process control. A simple ControlLogix system consists of a standalone controller and I/O modules in one chassis. For a more comprehensive system, use the following: • Multiple controllers in one chassis • Multiple controllers joined across networks • I/O in multiple platforms that are distributed in many locations and connected over multiple I/O links.
The CompactLogix system is designed to provide a Logix solution for small and mid-size applications. Typically, these applications are machine-level control applications. A simple system can consist of a standalone controller with one bank of I/O modules and DeviceNet communication.
The CompactLogix 5370 L3 controllers deliver scalable, affordable control ideal for applications from small standalone equipment to high-performance indexing tables, process skids, case packers and erectors, and packaging.
The CompactLogix 5370 L3 controllers also provide a truly integrated motion solution.
The CompactLogix 5370 L2 controllers combine the power of the Logix architecture with the flexibility of Compact I/O modules. From small standalone equipment to higher performance applications, these controllers are ideal for assembly machines, hoisting systems, process skids, indexing tables, and packaging.
The CompactLogix 5370 L1 controllers combine the power of the Logix architecture with the flexibility of POINT I/O. Ideal for small to mid-size machines, these controllers offer value to customers looking for the benefits of Integrated Architecture in a lower cost system.
